Shafiek Mouton

fOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR

Shafiek Mouton is the Founder and Managing Director of F7 Sports Management and a SA Rugby accredited player agent. Born and raised in Wellington in the Western Cape, he has built a career at the intersection of sport, media and athlete representation.

Before entering the player management industry, Shafiek worked as a sports journalist for leading South African media brands including Rapport, Son, Sport24, Varsity Sports and ESPN Africa, where he covered rugby at school, provincial and international level. His journalism background provided him with a deep understanding of the game, the rugby landscape and the people who shape it.

In 2018, he became a registered rugby agent and founded F7 Sports Management with a vision of providing holistic athlete representation focused on both sporting success and personal development. Since then, he has assisted players with contract negotiations, career planning, international opportunities, commercial partnerships and life beyond rugby.

Passionate about creating opportunities through sport, Shafiek believes in building genuine relationships and helping athletes secure their tomorrows. Through F7 Sports Management, he remains committed to identifying talent, supporting player growth and making a meaningful impact in the communities the agency serves.

His guiding principle is simple: represent people first, players second.

Jurgen Lochner

Senior Agent

Jurgen is a SA Rugby accredited rugby agent and serves as Senior Agent at F7 Sports Management.

Having played rugby at North-West University (Pukke) and the University of Pretoria (Tuks), he also competed at junior Currie Cup level, participated in the Vodacom Cup and gained international playing experience in France. His experience within the game provides valuable insight into player development, talent identification and the pathways available to aspiring professional athletes.

Committed to the growth of young players, Jurgen works closely with athletes, families, schools, Unions, local clubs and international rugby networks to help create opportunities and guide players towards achieving their rugby and personal goals.
